Lafleche-Limerick Pastoral Charge

I feel the winds of God today.
OUR CHURCHES

LAFLECHE UNITED CHURCH
Lafleche United Church is a community that worships together, giving of ourselves and our resources to be an example to our neighbours.

TRINITY UNITED CHURCH
As a practicing people of God in Limerick, Trinity United Church feels a responsibility to be God's hands in our community, sharing love with those around us.
OUR MINISTER

REVEREND JANELLE SHAW
Reverend Janelle Shaw has been caring for the spirtual well-being of the members of Lafleche-Limerick Pastoral Charge community since February 2018.
Reverend Janelle grew up in Southern Ontario and completed her education and first pastoral charge there before relocating to Saskatchewan. She has a passion for people and for preaching, laughter and community and believes deeply in the power that faith gives each and every one of us.
From the time she was a young girl, Reverend Janelle knew that God was calling her to rural ministry and following that call has gladly brought her into our midst.

OUR MINISTRIES

WORSHIP SERVICES
Members of our congregations welcome friends, family and community members to join us on Sunday to share in worship.
We gather in Lafleche at 9:30am and Limerick at 11:30am every Sunday. Or join us virtually at 9:30am on Zoom or Facebook Live.
Throughout the year, there are also some special services that take place on different days or times (for example, Maundy Thursday, Easter Sunrise, or Blue Christmas Services). We hope to see you there!

CHILDREN'S CHURCH
We believe in the importance of sharing our faith with the young, the elderly, and everyone in-between.

Children are welcome to join us for our regular worship, where Rev. Janelle always incorporates an interactive Children's Time into her services. Or, join us on the last Sunday of each month for a special "Children's Church" Sunday School program. By engaging our children in fun and creative ways, we ignite the passion of faith in the hearts of our youth.

BIBLE STUDY
Are you seeking more? Are you interested in engaging with your faith on new levels?

Consider joining our Bible Study. This group provides an open-minded space in which we can ask questions about our holy texts, ponder the message behind the words written thousands of years ago and come to understand how they impact our lives today.

If Bible Study isn't your cup of tea, we have many other groups and committees that may be of interest.

SACRAMENTS
Sharing in the sacraments is an important part of one's faith journey and we are excited to celebrate them with you. The United Church of Canada offers Baptism to all ages and we also celebrate Communion several times throughout the year as a church community.
All are welcome at the table, and if you cannot make it to church, we will bring Communion to you. As part of our commitment to an open table, we serve grape juice rather than wine and in Lafleche, gluten-free pancakes.

WEDDINGS & FUNERALS
Whether you are celebrating the start of a new life together or remembering the life that was lived by a loved one who's passed, our Minister, Reverend Janelle Shaw, will be there for your family.

In happy times, we gather together to celebrate and dream, in times of sadness we gather together to mourn and remember.

Through all of life's journeys, the constant is love and we gather to share that love with one another.
